Dance is a passion for me. I started learning bharatnatyam when I was 8yrs old. My first guru was guru Sudershan from whom I learnt for almost 5 years then I continued to learn from Smt Sumathy kaushal and did my arangetram. After that I did my masters in bharatnatyam from university of Hyderabad. To learn finer aspects of bharatnatyam and abhinaya in particular I started training under Guru Hemamalini Arni. And was with her for 2 decades. During this time had given many performances including ballets. After I moved to mumbai I wanted to try another form so i started learning odissi from Guru Jhelum Paranjape for 4years Later i had an opportunity to learn from guru sharon Lowen for 3years. I have been teaching bharatnatyam since 2005. I am on selection panel of CCRT(centre for cultural resources and training govt. If india) since 2009. Had worked with kendriya vidyalay to encourage children to learn this wonderful art of dance.

I believe in learning classical dance in a traditional way. I believe in strong foundation and practice. This will help a person to develop and adapt to other dance forms. I am very keen and clear that I can create these fundamentals in the students. I have practiced this art for almost 45years in learning performing and teaching.
